Is a self cleaning litter box worth the money?
I work about 60 hours a week, and I'm having a hard time keeping up with the litter box, as my kittens poop about a million times a day. Are self-cleaning litter boxes worth the money?
Sorry, no. I tried one and it was awful. What is supposed to happen is that the automatic rake scoops the clumps into a plastic container which then shuts over the clumps. In reality, the clumps quickly pile up and the waste container doesn't shut. This leaves you with a concentrated pile o' poop which smells worse than an ordinary litter box. My suggestion instead is to get another litter box or two so you can scoop less often.
