My dog tries to fence fight in my backyard?
I moved into a new house (2 months ago) and we have a huge yard but the fence is made of this weird plastic fake fencing stuff. There is only about a 1/2 inch inbetween planks. My neighbor has two labs that try and fence fight with my dog when they are all outside. My dog almost broke through the fence. I stand infront of the fence and "claim it" and it works for the moment. I have 4 dogs and have a doggy door and only one of my dogs (a female) does this. She turns into a completley different dog, she is normally very friendly with other dogs, even the neighbors dogs she likes when they are not in the yard. I am not able to be out there watching her 24/7 to "claim" the fence. Any ideas on how to get them to stop?
Sounds like a job for the training collar. Watch her and as she begins to show interest give her the warning sound. If she starts fence fighting ZAP her. Couple times of that . . .no more worry. Make sure if you use this to put the collar on long before you start so she doesn't associate the collar with the ZAPping. Good luck
